If you’re thinking of planning a Disney vacation, but not quite sure what the experience will be like, read on. The Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, reopened to guests in July with new safety protocols in place. While some things are different, the Disney magic you would expect remains the same. Here’s an inside look from guests who have attended the theme parks recently on what it’s like to visit Disney World right now.
A big reason to visit Disney World right now: fewer crowds. That means shorter wait times on your favorite rides — or even no wait at all. Classic staples, like Space Mountain, had little to no wait times, and the queues were consistently spaced out to keep all groups of guests at least 6 feet apart while waiting.
Expect to get your temperature checked upon arrival. All guests must wear a face covering, and there is new social distancing signage to follow.
Easy-to-use mobile ordering is available at many food and beverage service locations throughout the parks.
Fitting everything into your day’s agenda is stress-free right now, with short wait times and so much convenience made possible by the MyDisneyExperience app.
To manage guest attendance, a theme park reservation is required, but the Disney Park Pass system is easy to use, and reserving time in the parks was hassle free. The Park Hopper option is not currently available.
If you love snapping the perfect shot on your Disney vacation, now’s the time to do it. Because the crowds are so manageable, you can take your time, strike your favorite pose, and capture those one-of-a-kind photos to look back on for years to come.
Running through Fall 2020, the Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is a foodie favorite. Stroll around World Showcase sampling a plethora of small bites and cocktails from around the globe.
